Established in 1986, ISL is responsible both for practical, application oriented research which can be used in the field by Secom (Core Technology Division) as well as cutting-edge research focused on building the technology infrastructure for future products and applications in any of the fields Secom operates in (Advanced Research Division).
Current research in ISL encompasses a number of themes including: Networking, ubiquitous sensors, biometrics, behavior recognition, image processing, medical IT, assistive technology, robotics, and scheduling among others.
