ACM Student Chapter @ CMU Roundtable
Abstract: "Wonder what it's like to be a VP?
What it's like in industry?
What's in it for you?
Katie Kean is visiting CMU and wants to meet
you! She will answer any questions you might have about your career,
skill challenges facing the computer industry or what it is like to work
at IBM.
This event is hosted by the Interim ACM Student Chapter at CMU in
conjunction with the School of Computer Science.
What is the ACM Student Chapter?
It's a new organization that has been started by students from various
departments, and is open to students of all disciplines to bring interdisciplinary
computing a step closer to CMU. Feel free to contact acm-officers@lists.andrew.cmu.edu
for more information or to get involved!
Towards this effort, one of the main goals of the ACM Student Chapter
is to bring industry and academia to you on a more personal level. We
can't forget that the students of CMU today are going to be the world's
leaders of tomorrow. We hope this event will introduce you to a corporate mentor
who can show you first-hand how seeking answers to your own questions can play a
valuable role in your career and future.
Don't miss out on this exciting opportunity to meet a corporate leader
in technology. Stay tuned for more about how ACM is coming to campus
through us 'students', and please feel free to contact us for more
information or if you're interested in getting involved!
Cheers,
CMU ACM Student Chapter
